GABBINBAR HOMESTEAD, THE WEDDING EXPERIENCE
Ok, I’ll be honest – Gabbinar is my absolute favourite venue to photograph in the whole of South East Queensland.
This 148-year-old grand homestead sits on 13 acres up on the Toowoomba Ranges. It used to be governor’s residence, so it’s very fancy with manicured gardens, ancient trees and a lot of opulence and grandeur. ABOUT THE GABBINAR HOMESTEAD
The homestead began hosting weddings in 2012. They offer couples the entire estate, encouraging them to think of it as home for the day. And what a home! Inside the grand entrance, you’ll find many rooms to explore, including a glass conservatory, ballroom, sitting rooms, drawing room and library. There are plenty of historical features like crystal chandeliers, marble and slate mantelpieces, French doors, leadlight windows and wide verandahs.
